POLICIES AND REGULATIONS FOR PETS AT THE SHELTER
We love pets, we have ours too and we know that your pet is a member of your family, and we understand that your trip would not be the same without him or her, that is why we allow you to bring them in strict compliance with the following rules:
The keeping of wild or wild animals is prohibited in Colombia, in our Refuge we are consistent with this rule, in this way we preserve the wildlife and the safety of our guests, for this reason only pets are allowed.
As of January 30, 2017 the national government has provided the new Police Code that allows maintaining order through Law 746 of 2002, which seeks to regulate the possession of canine specimens in urban and rural areas, on public roads, in places open to the public and public transport in which their stay is allowed. For this reason and under this Code we reserve the right of entry of dogs of large breeds and / or belonging to the following breeds considered potentially dangerous or their crosses or hybrids: American Staffordshire, Bullmastiff Terrier, Doberman, Dogo Argentino, Dogo de Bordeaux, Fila Brasileiro Neapolitan Mastiff, Pit Bull Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, De presa canario, Rottweiler, Staffordshire Terrier Tosa, Japanese Bull Terrier.
Only one pet is allowed in each accommodation, or two small pets.
The lodging of a pet implies a daily cleaning and maintenance of the cabin deeper than usual, for that reason we must charge the lodging of your pet according to the rate of $80.000 COP.
All pets must bring their own bed, pets are not allowed to climb or sleep on the beds or on the cabin furniture in general.
All pets must always be under the supervision of their owner or a responsible adult. Pets are not allowed to be left in the cabin while guests are away.
To go for a walk around the lodge you must always keep your pet on a collar and leash in good condition.
The owner will have the obligation to keep the pet in proper hygienic and sanitary conditions.
The use of dishes, glasses and other utensils of the establishment for use or care of the pet is not allowed.
It is not allowed to brush pets in the rooms, bathe them in the showers or use the towels or other elements of the establishment to dry them.
Pets are not allowed to relieve themselves inside the house for any reason. If this accidentally happens, the owner is responsible for picking up the excrement and cleaning up.
When the pet does its needs in the gardens or in common areas of the shelter, it is the responsibility of the owner to clean up and have plastic bags to collect the excrement and deposit them in the red bins.
If your pet is a cat, you must bring its scratching post and sandbox with enough litter and shovel for cleaning.
Guests are responsible for preventing their pets from disturbing the order or tranquility of other people in the shelter.
The owner must carry the current vaccination card of the animal with all the regulatory vaccinations and data of the pet such as: name, date of birth in order to verify the vaccinations that it must have according to its age, breed, color, gender and particular signs, complete data of the owner, veterinarian and medical history number.
We reserve the right to refuse entry to pets that show signs of unhealthy conditions or potentially contagious diseases, if they show aggressive behavior or do not comply with the policies of the establishment.
Any damage or harm caused or attributable to the pet to third parties, goods, property or any new development that occurs because of their behavior will be the responsibility of the owner and will be required to cover the costs or repair of damages resulting to persons, furniture, facilities or bedding and others, and will absolve the employees of the establishment of any responsibility if the pet is injured or injures a guest and the owner will be billed for the damages and / or damage caused.
For your peace of mind and safety, please make sure that your pet has an identification tag or microchip.
It is in our best interest to accommodate the client and his pet as well as possible, however, our priority will always be the guests, please do not bring dogs that usually bark too much or are aggressive with people or other pets, the complaint of any guest of the shelter will be taken with the utmost seriousness. The space and tranquility of other guests must be unconditionally respected.
The fact of staying with us implies the acceptance of these rules, we appreciate the strict compliance with our rules, when you check in you will sign an Act in which you accept all the conditions established.
